Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with experienced Amazonians to create and execute security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal and/or external attacks.
• Develop, test, review, debug, or deploy code that supports security protocols.
• Identify areas of improvement around the current DevSecOps program to increase developer velocity and program efficiency while maintaining a high security bar.
• Explore areas to automate deployments and tasks around the CI/CD pipeline.
• Work with Core Infrastructure teams to identify gap and bottlenecks in current processes to build more efficient solutions.
• Work with software development teams to identify security problems and improve the security aspects of their service(s).
• Troubleshoot, research the root cause of, and resolve security or risk issues with guidance.
• Work with the Product teams to ensure the new features we are releasing to our customer maintain the high bar that Amazon is known for.
• Work to create system artifacts, perform manual and automated code review, and assist with scoping and conducting Pentesting activities.

Position Requirements:

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Technology, Mathematics or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Must have two years of experience in the following skills: (1) Application Security Experience; (2) experience working with Security testing tools; (3) hands-on experience with programming or scripting languages, including Python, JavaScript, Ruby, HQL or Bash; (4) experience working and delivering with Agile Practices, including Scrum or XP.
