Revenue Operations Specialist I

Robert Half is seeking several Revenue Operations Specialists I to support one of our healthcare clients in their revenue cycle operations. This is a contract role with potential for full-time hire. The position begins with two weeks of onsite training in Federal Way, WA (October 6–17), after which the role transitions to fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve credit balances resulting from overpayments by insurance payers.
• Investigate claims to determine if a misbalance is valid and whether funds should be refunded.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify discrepancies in payments.
• Utilize payer portals and insurance forms to research and process retractions.
• Communicate with insurance companies to verify claim details and initiate adjustments.
• Work with electronic remittance advice (ERAs) and other common insurance documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely resolution of credit balances.
• Participate in a structured training program: half-day classroom instruction and half-day hands-on floor training.
• Receive company-provided equipment to support remote work after training completion.

Requirements:

• Healthcare experience or exposure to revenue cycle operations strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to take initiative and go above and beyond in daily responsibilities.
• Stable work history (minimal job-hopping).
• Familiarity with insurance claims, payer portals, and remittance processes is a plus.

Additional Information:

• Equipment will be provided and sent home with candidates on their last day of training.
• Candidates must be available for onsite training in Federal Way, WA before transitioning to remote work.
