Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a Transportation Planning Specialist 3 to serve as the Rail Operations Coordinator for the Rail, Freight, and Ports (RFP) Division. The RFP manages the state's intercity passenger rail program, Amtrak Cascades, which plays a key role in advancing the agency's mission to provide a safe, sustainable, and integrated multimodal transportation system. This position is instrumental in leading and coordinating project teams across multiple partners, including internal business, communications, contracts, and planning teams, as well as Sound Transit, Amtrak, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
