What's a typical day as a Production Planning Operations Analyst? You'll be: Developing and implementing production plans by considering sales order priorities, material availability, cost, and production capacity. Partnering with Production leadership to maximize output and labor of respective product line(s). Working under moderate supervision, this position has frequent use and/or application of industry principles, theories, and concepts of production planning and requires general knowledge of industry standards. Analyzing sales orders within the planning lead time to ensure material is available to fulfill scheduled orders. Maintaining sales order due dates to align with expected material availability and capacity limitations. Collaborating with Sales Support teams for revised priorities and rescheduling if orders are not fulfilled within the appropriate time frame. Ensuring customer delivery requirements are met. Collaborating with Operations Project Managers and Material Coordinators to effectively manage engineering change implementations on the production lines. Actively participating in material allocations while collaborating with Sales and IBP (Integrated Business Planning). Performing analysis that highlights trends, drivers, and issues with Production planning. Participating in counter measures to resolve issues. Participating as a planning representative on the cross-functional project teams. Utilizing planning tools to effectively and efficiently create tactical inventory and supply solutions.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you: Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities. APICS Certification. QAD / SAP experience and application. Advanced skill level required for Excel and Word. Intermediate skills required for PowerPoint. Business System application knowledge in Sales Order management, Production Scheduling, Inventory Control, ERP / MRP, and Procurement.
