We are hiring a Platform Engineer for a fulltime, hybrid role. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring containerized applications are secure, scalable, and easily deployable.
• Establishing monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of data platforms.
• Implementing security best practices for data platforms, ensuring data privacy and compliance with industry standards.
• Implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software delivery.

Required skills include:

• Senior engineer with 10 plus years relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on Python experience.
• Abstract infrastructure complexity for developers.
• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure solutions using Terraform, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code scripts to automate the provisioning and configuration of resources.
• Ensure version-controlled, repeatable deployments using IaC best practices.
• Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy, scale, and optimize applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Leverage scripting languages (e.g. Python) to automate routine tasks and streamline workflows.
• Ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components with CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure for data platforms.
• Implement containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) solutions for deploying and managing data applications.

Works in the area of software engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions or applications. Applies scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems. Responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development, and maintenance. Requires the exercise of original thought and judgment and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers. Builds skills and expertise of his or her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities. Collaborates and acts as a team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
