Patient Services Specialist - Physical Therapy at St Josephs Hospital-Chewelah

Schedule: Full time, 1 FTE, day shift position working every Mondays-Fridays from 8:00am-4:30pm

Under the general direction of department leadership, the Patient Services Specialist performs a variety of tasks related to patient scheduling, pre-registration, and authorization/verification of benefits in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. The Patient Services Specialist cultivates working relationships between therapists, practitioners, and patients. All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the ministry, as well as being a positive representative of the hospital at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year experience with patient scheduling.

  • 1 year billing or insurance company experience.
