Marketing Events Manager

About the Company: Our client is a rapidly growing law firm seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Events Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract. This role offers the potential to extend as the firm's needs grow. Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Research:
- Provide external-facing event support, with occasional internal event coordination.
- Conduct extensive research on venues, restaurants, and event swag to design memorable and unique experiences.
- Support creative brainstorming for venues, ensuring alignment with organizational brand and appeal to a professional services audience, including knowledge of what's new and on trend regionally and nationally.
- Event Execution:
- Manage menu planning and food/beverage selection, ensuring dietary needs and nuances are accounted for.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and packing/shipping event materials.
- Handle registration setup in C-Vent and ensure all preparatory tasks for events are completed timely.
- Travel onsite for event execution, managing logistics, setup, and breakdown, including some manual labor (e.g., lifting boxes independently).
- Collaboration and Administration:
- Partner with other Marketing Events Managers to create consistent processes for event execution and documentation.
- Build templates, checklists, and resources to streamline logistical planning across the team.
- Provide on-video support (frequent video calls) to update and engage with stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Use tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, and SharePoint for tracking event details and maintaining alignment with collaborators.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Track event participation and performance by reporting in Salesforce.
- Use data to evaluate the success of events and provide information for post-event reviews.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Event Planning Experience: Proven background in corporate event planning, including menu design, food and beverage selection, and logistics.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, especially when supporting multiple stakeholders and providing regular updates.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and pivot quickly from research to action.
- Creative Mindset: Knowledge of trending venues, activities, and event options that engage professional audiences.
- Organizational Excellence: Comfortable independently handling administrative and operational tasks, especially during the onboarding phase.
Systems Expertise (Preferred):
- Salesforce for tracking event details and reporting participation.
- Registration Platforms (e.g., C-Vent) for preparing event registration sites.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with onsite badge printing technologies like Zebra printers.
Additional Preferences:
- Law Firm or Professional Services Experience: Nice to have, though other corporate event planning experience is welcome.
- Comfortable working remotely and being on camera frequently for virtual collaboration.
- Ability to handle manual tasks like lifting, packing, and event setup independently.
- Travel readiness for onsite event execution.
