Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to join our dedicated night shift team. Initially, candidates will undergo training on the day shift before transitioning to nights. This role is crucial for maintaining and repairing equipment within our plant while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, including electrical circuits and components.
  • Read and update wiring diagrams; work with high-voltage, 3-phase electricity.
  • Apply knowledge of AC/DC electrical theory, motor control centers, transformers, and PLCs.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and National Electric Code standards.
  • Prioritize and respond to multiple critical issues affecting production and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding assignments and equipment status.
  • Maintain logs and records for preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Support facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and structural repairs.
  • Ensure food safety and follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Work Environment:

Work inside a food processing facility that operates multiple shifts. Typical shifts include 4a-4p or 4p-4a from Sunday to Thursday, and sometimes Friday. Alternatively, shifts run from 5:30a-5:30p or 3p-1a from Monday to Friday, occasionally extending into Saturday. Expect a workload with 10-15 hours of overtime weekly.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, WA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $26.35 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
