What this job involves: As a Lead Facilities Engineer at JLL, you'll lead facility operations by safely operating buildings in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements while demonstrating and enforcing safety rules and behaviors across your team. This critical leadership role requires you to perform maintenance and monitoring repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, control, and fire life safety systems to maintain building systems at applicable standards while maintaining HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels. You'll lead a team of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians to ensure work orders are completed properly and in a timely fashion while monitoring pricing and work quality of outside contractors and reviewing monthly Client Service Request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on facility reliability and safety by participating in incident investigations, identifying and assessing safety hazards and risks, and assisting the site Facility Management team with emergency situations including fire alarms, chemical spills, and hazardous conditions. What your day-to-day will look like: Safely operate facilities in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements while demonstrating and enforcing safety rules, identifying hazards, and participating in incident investigations. Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, control, and fire life safety systems while maintaining HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels. Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation while complying with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Monitor pricing and work quality of outside contractors while reviewing monthly Client Service Request summaries to identify and correct recurrent operational problems. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner while assisting site Facility Management team with emergency situations and taking appropriate actions. Lead team of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians to ensure work orders are completed properly and efficiently while maintaining clean and safe workplace standards. Apply thorough knowledge of building systems to achieve optimal operating costs, especially energy efficiency, while satisfying customer requirements and maintaining system performance.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or state equivalent with minimum of two years of college or related trade schooling. Minimum of four years' experience in electrician trade or related field, OR minimum of four years' experience in HVAC/refrigeration trade or related field. Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record for site mobility and emergency response requirements. Ability to perform all work using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while following safety policies.
