Food Service Worker Lead

Under general supervision of the manager, leads employees in preparation of all food as indicated on menus and production schedule. Maintain safety, sanitation, and quality control standards. Provide top quality products and customer service in the front of the house platform cooking and is able to train employees in performing all of the related tasks in customer service. Cooperate in contributing to a positive and harmonious work environment.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $3,752 to $4,428 | Range 37 (Steps F-M) Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. In accordance with the applicable law, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit AND one year of experience in quantity or institutional food preparation AND serving, which includes six months experience directing the work of others; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Washington Food Handler's Permit within 14 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to five (5) years food service experience.
  • Multi-faceted food experience.
  • Experience leading and training employees.
  • General knowledge of commercial grade kitchen equipment use, safety, and maintenance.
