At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.
As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will impact the development and maturation of Liquid Propulsion Rocket Engine (LPRE) control algorithms and simulation models. As a control and system analysis (CSA) engineer, your input and guidance will affect LPRE control system design at all stages of the development lifecycle. Ability to interface and coordinate resources with engine controller hardware, engine controller software, hardware in the loop (HIL), and vehicle control/simulation teams is imperative. An insistence on high standards is required to improve engine control and plant models based on system performance, mission requirements, program targets and constraints. There will be opportunities for contribution to engine control and system analysis technology roadmap and strategy formulation, as well as technical and professional mentorship for junior team members.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership experience, and dedication to excellence to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
