Electronic Engineer Position

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Electronic Engineer position will be part of the Telecommunications Engineering function, which provides engineering, design, and field support for telecommunication facilities and associated equipment. These include fiber optics, analog and mobile radio, digital radio, power line carrier systems, operational telephone networks, microwave towers and antennas, emergency AC/DC power systems, UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, communications buildings, multiplex equipment, and monitoring systems such as alarm systems, Fault Locating Acquisition Reporter (FLAR), microwave monitors, and wide area networks used for operational data and network management. The position offers professional engineering expertise to assist project managers and other engineering personnel in implementing projects, supporting field maintenance crews and operations, and performing other related engineering activities. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay range: $32.54 - $46.49.

Responsibilities include providing telecommunications scoping input for concept design documents, producing draft detailed design drawings and draft bills of materials and statements of work, providing technical input and recommendations, performing engineering studies, participating in teams to research and test telecommunication and related equipment, assisting in development of requirements for technical specifications, providing technical support in the administration of material contracts and project management, using standard telecommunications guides, design templates, standards and specifications to scope and design assigned projects, assisting with the preparation of innovative design templates, standards, and specifications, preparing comprehensive final scoping documents and design packages, and preparing equipment settings sheets and all other documentation required to complete the design packages.
