Color, Material, and Finish Designer

Location: Seattle, WA Onsite

Interface with industry to research and develop proprietary and innovative hardware styles, construction details, material combinations, new production techniques, etc.

Assist in the continual gathering and sharing of trends in consumer electronics, eyewear and fashion markets.

Create fully resolved CMF strategy for presentation to team members, partners and manufacturers.

Assist in the resolution of design, prototyping and manufacturing issues during the development phase; create fully resolved solutions to communicate and resolve manufacturing and prototyping challenges.

Manage and maintain CMF product specifications for products in development from concept to production.

Bachelors of Industrial Design from an accredited college or university, or relevant professional experience required.

5+ years experience working as a CMF Designer/Developer.

Proficiency in communicating design vision, and concepts using 2D color renderings and 2D CAD. 3D CAD and visualization experience is a plus.

Excellent organization skills, detail oriented, and has the ability to multitask across different projects and categories.

Working knowledge of plastic injection molding, metal fabrication techniques, resin development, coating technologies, plastics decoration processes, fabrics and textiles.

Occasional domestic and international travel is a requirement for this position.
