Blue Origin Network Integration Engineer

We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will own the development and manufacturing integration of vehicle networks for various spaceflight systems. You will serve as the technical focus for the network integration with systems engineering, manufacturing, mission operations, and flight operations teams. You will lead launch vehicle network tests, checkouts, and operations and perform network performance measurement, modeling, and simulation. Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in networking systems
  • Intimate familiarity with layer 2 and 3 switching/routing hardware (including Ethernet and IP)
  • Hands-on experience and proficiency in networking hardware troubleshooting, including configuring and operating network test equipment
  • Understanding of network tapping/telemetry, packet capture, and analysis methods
  • High level of attention to detail and task ownership
  • Ability to interface and communicate with variety of engineering teams and non-IT skillsets

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. degree or higher in an applicable field (electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, etc.)
  • Experience with network simulation software, network testing hardware (e.g. traffic generators/analyzers) and real time operating systems
  • Deep understanding of multicast network concepts
  • Knowledge of systems engineering practices, integration processes, and launch vehicle mission operations
  • Programming and scripting experience (C++ or Python preferred)
  • Experience with developing and debugging network integration and test programs

Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $126,898.00-$177,656.85. Other site ranges may differ.
