The Academic & Student Affairs department at WSU Tri Cities welcomes applications for an Administrative Assistant to support our campus Learning Commons and Student Services. In this role you will provide high-level administrative, general office management, and program support. You will manage a wide range of sensitive and confidential personnel and administrative issues, using independent judgement and discretion to ensure the delivery of superior customer service. This includes serving as the department's personnel/recruitment coordinator and HR Partner in Workday for faculty, staff, non-permanent and student hiring, on-boarding, and other compensation/personnel actions.
Administrative staff report centrally through the Office of the Chancellor and are assigned day-to-day work through their respective units. The Administrative Assistant initiates actions to ensure work unit and office goals are met and has frequent contact with students, clients, the public, faculty, staff, and other WSU offices and units. Assignments and projects are of a complex nature requiring substantive knowledge of a variety of regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and processes. This position will complete purchases and reconciliation for assigned units. The Administrative Assistant will be working at the front desk of the Learning Commons, providing superior customer service to students, staff, faculty, and community members.

Monthly Salary: $3,665.00 - $4,882.00 | Range 41 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-28. In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
