DTC's software engineering teams develop applications for the web, mobile, tablets, connected TVs, consoles, and other streaming devices. Customers begin their experience with WBD through DTC's Global Consumer Identity and Authentication team, which manages authentication and authorization processes across all WBD brands. This is a global engineering group that supports WBD's ongoing development.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Build and support scalable backend systems with multiple languages and frameworks.
  • Adhere to and champion the highest standards of code quality, performance, security, and reliability.
  • Champion customer-first mindset, prioritizing user needs and feedback.
  • Learn from operational data to continuously improve and optimize software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance and user experience.
  • Embrace latest advancements in AI and explore opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions.
  • Engage in code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and provide mentorship to junior developers.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, including building secure and scalable services for platforms supporting millions of users.
  • Experience in service design; coding experience with Java Vertx and Spring Boot, including writing code that is clean, efficient, and maintainable.
  • Proven focus on operational excellence for large-scale cloud services, including CI/CD, high availability, scalability, and proactive issue detection with monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork, with a focus on knowledge sharing.
  • Curious about AI-based methods for increasing productivity and improving user experience with our products.
  • We work with technologies such as Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, Terraform, Telegraph, Grafana, Prometheus, and GitHub, where familiarity is beneficial.
  • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and knowledge in full system flows (client-server, server-to-server), with proven independent testing and troubleshooting skills across the stack.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $99,400.00 - $184,600.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
