Mechanical Manager
We're on the lookout for a proactive Mechanical Manager to take centre stage in managing the heartbeat of our iconic studio's mechanical plant. In this pivotal role, you'll be the go-to expert for all things BMS using real-time data to keep our systems running smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably. From diagnosing faults to fine-tuning performance, your decisions will directly impact the energy footprint and reliability of our world-class facilities.
You'll be part of a talented, multi-skilled maintenance team, supporting everything from planned upgrades to fast-paced reactive fixes, ensuring our legendary studio never misses a beat.

Your Role Accountabilities...
- Responsible for carrying out equipment maintenance/inspection tasks and working closely with our third-party contractors.
- Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service/inspection records and file appropriately.
- Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance programs with our third-party contractors on a wide range of equipment such as compressors, generators, diesel engines & pumps, pressurisation units.
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems alongside our third-party contractors.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions/breakdowns and rectify/repair faults to enhance performance.
- Interpret condition monitoring surveys and operating parameters of equipment identify early performance deterioration and take the necessary action to prevent plant shutdown.
- Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all work permits are in place before commencing work and are cleared on completion before reinstatement.
Qualifications & Experiences...
- Understands and analyses relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, pipe diagrams
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with pump systems and implement effective solutions
- Strong understanding of mechanical components and the ability to perform hands on repairs and adjustments
- Fabrication experience is preferred
- Full UK driving license
- Proficiency using Building Management System (BMS)
- Minimum HNC in engineering (or equivalent)
- HVAC qualification - NVQ level 2 or equivalent (NVQ level 3 not essential but desirable)
- City & Guilds F-GAS 2079 Qualification
- Experience working with major manufacturers such as, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Hitachi, and Mitsubishi Electric.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software.
- Experience & working knowledge with Chillers, DX, Split & VRV systems, AHUs & ventilation plant
