The Creative Director, Originals Marketing is a culturally fluent, big-idea-driven creative leader responsible for shaping the creative vision for HBO and Max Originals marketing campaigns. This role goes beyond asset creation – it's about telling stories around our greatest content, shaping how our Originals show up in the world, and leveraging our IP to break through the noise and spark conversation.
This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, design, and cultural impact. With a sharp focus on big-idea thinking, the role requires someone who can generate and turn creative concepts into reality across multiple touchpoints — social, key art, A/V and experiential. In close partnership with internal teams and external agencies, the Creative Director will lead the development of globally scalable and platform-native ideas that make our shows feel essential to the cultural moment.
From the earliest positioning through full-funnel execution, the Creative Director will champion experimentation, elevate our creative standards, and ensure a cohesive storytelling vision at every audience touchpoint. As the global creative lead, this role will also collaborate with international marketing teams to translate the overarching strategy into locally resonant work – ensuring our campaigns feel globally integrated but also deeply relevant in regional markets. This work will drive engagement around our Originals and help cement HBO Max as a premium streaming destination with bold, ownable creative that consistently provokes emotion and builds fandom. The Creative Director works in close partnership with the Strategy Director and reports to the VP, Originals Marketing.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $154,000.00 - $286,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
