Join the U.S. Import Trade Compliance organization to support the Trade Compliance Audit and Regulatory area for the world's largest retailer as a Temp Manager! The Manager (Temp) of the U.S. Import Compliance team is critical to the U.S. Import Trade Compliance Program.

The temp manager is responsible for researching and reviewing products ensuring compliance through proper assignment of HTS and Partnering Government agency application, monitoring and advisement to key stakeholders of HTS and regulatory changes that impact the business, stay current with regulatory updates affecting HTS classification and relevant trade compliance laws to ensure adherence to government agency requirements for U.S. imports, support improvement of processes by creating key performance indicators to monitor processes and performance, analyzing data and presenting to leadership. The person in this role will report to the Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics Trade Compliance Classification - Admissibility.

What You'll Do

• Enhance program effectiveness and efficiencies: Support the development and implementation of changes to program requirements, systems, and processes to be more efficient and effective; identify program gaps and solutions. Improve data quality: Collaborate with global stakeholders on data improvement opportunities for better risk identification.
• Identify and mitigate risk: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risk associated with partnering government agencies ensuring adherence with Customs rules and regulations while demonstrating reasonable care.
• Build strategic relationships: Partner with Product Development, Technical Design, Merchants, and Sourcing teams to determine appropriate tariff rates and explore potential tariff engineering opportunities, where applicable.

What You'll Bring

• Keen awareness of compliance and ethics concerns by monitoring trends in laws and regulations for imports into the United States
• 2+ years of experience in US Trade Imports.
• Subject matter expertise in U.S. Import Compliance Classification, partnering government agency regulations, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection entry requirements.
• Experience identifying and applying preferential trade program qualifications.
• Ability to use data to understand problems and understand impact/risk
• Project management experience.
• A proactive approach operating in a complex collaborative corporate structure with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organization and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse workload that often requires multi-tasking and re-prioritization.
• Outstanding communication skills and you are a master at making complex subjects easily understood.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High standards and the ability to act as team leader in senior managers absence.
• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker or have 1+ years' experience in Classification, Admissibility.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00-$51.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
