Customer Service Associate

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities

The Customer Service Associate will:

  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Register sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade-ups and companion items.
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
  • Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records. Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or communicated by the shift leader.
  • Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions as directed.
  • Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures.
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products.
  • Assume web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring orders in Picture Care Plus, filling orders (pick items), and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

The Customer Service Associate will:

  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.

Qualifications

The Customer Service Associate must:

  • Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
  • Have a willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

The Customer Service Associate should:

  • Have six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
