What You'll Be Doing
General Services Administration (GSA) manages Wake County owned and leased facilities, the Wake County fleet, provides criminal justice support and supports a number of General Government business units. GSA is dedicated to ensuring safe, productive work environments and safe, reliable vehicles for our customers.
The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
- Project management related certification (PMP)
- CEM or PEM Certification
- Eight years of experience in engineering or architecture related field
- Five years or more experience in managing projects
- North Carolina Professional Engineering License or Architecture Registration
- Firm grasp of mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations along with general construction knowledge
- Two years direct experience with Building Management Systems/Building Automation Systems or Building Commissioning

- You have a passion for reducing energy consumption and cost in commercial facilities
- Ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions and actively work to resolve the issues with sound judgement
- Strong project management skills including the ability to work with multiple disciplines to complete a project
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Knowledge and experience in HVAC controls and building commissioning
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
- Along with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy
- Excellent computer skills including the ability to manipulate large databases and extract relevant information
- Proven ability to estimate, budget, plan, organize and prioritize a large portfolio of projects
- Strong troubleshooting skill including the ability to take data from multiple sources to identify the point of failure
- Ability to firmly adhere to codes of conduct and ethical principles and set a good example for team members
Knowledge of workplace safety practices and PPE to conform with OSHA requirements

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Position is responsible for facilities operating 24/7 and may be required
Hiring Range: 86,378 - 120,926
Market Range: 86,378.00 - 155,472.00
