What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?

  • Conduct the overhaul, repair and modification, troubleshooting, investigations and testing of products in accordance with relevant work instructions, test specifications, drawings, bulletins, production processes, EHS and Quality requirements.
  • Conduct and participate in the troubleshooting of faults, investigations, inspections and new product introduction relevant to production related EHSQ and Technical matters.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation specific to the workshop production tasks and processes are completed accurately and in full.
  • Ensure the working environment, plant, tooling and equipment is always maintained to a safe, clean and orderly condition.
  • Ensure all plant, tooling and equipment has prestart checks and/or preventative maintenance carried out prior to use in accordance with relevant requirements.
  • Willing to work outside or beyond normal working hours to support production requirements.
  • Domestic or International travel may be required.

What Do We Want To Know About You?

Essential Experience

  • Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical/Electrical Trade or higher.
  • Two years or more related trade experience in a manufacturing or services environment.
  • Current Driver's license.
  • Welding experience minimum of 2 years.

Desirable Experience

  • An understanding of the rail industry framework & related technical issues that arise.
  • Previous experience completing overhaul, repairs and testing to air brake equipment installed on Passenger, Locomotive and Freight rollingstock.
  • Currently Hold or willing to obtain qualifications for – Forklift, Overhead Gantry Crane, First Aid, Fire Warden.
