Who You Will Work With

Our maintenance team provides service to the Wabtec manufacturing plant, where we make traction motors for trains among other products. Therefore, you will be in contact with all teams from different departments such as production, manufacturing, quality, finance, and safety.

How You Will Make a Difference

As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct maintenance, advice, and execution of everything related to critical machines.

Reports directly to the maintenance manager

Has the technicians of maintenance under their charge

Can lead various projects that require critical thinking, focus on results, savings projects, continuous improvement, budgets among others.

What We Want to Know About You

• Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer or related
• Minimum 5 years of experience in related fields
• Knowledge of CNC equipment, welders, presses, furnaces, hoists, etc.
• Elaboration of programs in CAM and CAD
• Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electronics, Electricity, Power, substations
• Experience in Maintenance Management (TPM, Corrective, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Maintenance)
• Knowledge of computational packages such as Office.
• English 85% (desirable)
• Knowledge of open and closed loop servomechanisms.
• Reading and interpretation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings.

What Will Your Typical Day Look Like

• Daily attention to equipment failures in your assigned area.
• Leadership, follow-up, analysis, and solution of equipment failures.
• Leading technical staff in the resolution of equipment failures.
• Follow-up and closing of corrective actions to prevent equipment failures.
• Participation in investigations and actions to be implemented to reduce machine defects.
• Closing of orders generated daily in the equipment under your responsibility, in the MAXIMO system.
• Elaboration of daily operation report based on MAXIMO.
• Generation and updating of metrics graphs in your area of responsibility.
• Control of the budget assigned to your area of responsibility.
• Development of Risk Reduction and Cycle Time projects
• Comply with the MP plan at 80%
• Daily Gemba attendance of production
• Assume personal responsibility for your own safety and that of others as a condition of employment.
• Immediately inform site management of events, concerns regarding EHS matters, and non-compliances and, whenever possible, proactively correct conditions and behaviors at the workplace that may harm people or the environment.
• Ensure that you have the knowledge, tools, and processes necessary to perform the assigned tasks safely.
• Follow all Wabtec procedures and standards that protect the safety and health of people and the environment.
• Participate in the site's EHS program and contribute to the continuous improvement of Wabtec's WMS-EHS.

What About the Physical Demands of the Job

The base of the position is in the Apodaca plant, a metal-mechanical company.

Refers to dealing with operational and technical staff and working with machines on the production lines in the plant.
