Job Summary

A highly motivated, customer-focused individual is needed to join the team as a Customer Service and Sales Representative specializing in rock crusher parts and machine shop services. This position offers a blend of technical engagement and strategic salesmanship. The representative will build and maintain customer relationships, understand their needs for rock crusher parts and machine shop capabilities, and offer solutions to drive sales growth. The role also includes handling inquiries, resolving issues, preparing quotes, processing orders, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication and understanding their needs and business operations.
  • Identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs to propose suitable solutions related to rock crusher parts and machine shop services.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive customer quotes based on their specific requirements and needs.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Process customer orders promptly and accurately, coordinating with the machine shop and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and resolve potential issues.
  • Perform invoice reconciliation (invoices, credit card, etc.) and codes them in the system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of rock crusher parts inventory and machine shop capabilities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and changes in regulations related to rock crushing and machining to provide current and accurate information to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, scheduling, warehousing, and service departments, to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on customer needs, competitors, and potential for new products and services.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors to stay updated on new products, expedite/rush parts orders as needed, and/or check the status of incoming orders to ensure they will arrive on time to meet production schedules.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably within the aggregate, construction equipment, or machining industry. Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and communicate complex machining processes and rock crusher parts functionality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in relevant software like Microsoft Office, Google Suite of products, and others. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills. Ability to analyze and interpret sales reports to identify trends and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Experience with ERP software. Familiarity with specific rock crusher parts or machine shop processes relevant to operations.
