Get to Know the Opportunity:

The Strategic Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing enterprise-wide strategies across Technology and Operations. This role drives alignment between business priorities and operational execution. The manager is responsible for synthesizing complex data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making and long-term planning. With a focus on cross-functional collaboration, strategic communication, and performance tracking, they will ensure that initiatives are not only well-defined but also effectively delivered across the organization. They will be responsible for producing weekly reporting/tracking on various initiatives as well as ad hoc assignments with quick delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and resourceful in an ever evolving, fast paced technical environment.

The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Shape and drive enterprise-wide strategic initiatives by aligning and tracking Technology and Operations priorities with business objectives and transformation goals.
  • Develop and deliver materials for Tech and Ops leadership on strategy, business performance, and planning initiatives.
  • Develop executive-level insights and reporting that inform decision-making across senior leadership, including strategic dashboards, performance metrics, and planning frameworks.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless execution of strategic programs, acting as a central integrator across technology and operations.
  • Translate complex data and market trends into actionable strategies, leveraging financial modeling and scenario planning to support long-term growth and innovation.
  • Partner with Communications to craft and deliver high-impact messaging, ensuring clarity and alignment across stakeholder groups.
  • Manage strategic planning cycles, including budget alignment, audit readiness, and initiative tracking, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Enable leadership effectiveness by organizing and prioritizing critical issues, preparing briefing materials, and facilitating strategic forums and leadership engagements.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Six+ years full time work experience in financial services, including at least one to two years in corporate development, strategy consulting, or similar role.
  • BA/BS or Business-related degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong quantitative skills and significant experience in building, manipulating, maintaining, and interpreting sophisticated Excel models.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities and ability to successfully handle multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable working with senior management and different firm constituencies and partners.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities, thrive in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with a proven commitment to delivering high quality work.
  • Effective process management abilities and the ability to develop a network of relationships within the organization.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
