Your Responsibilities

• You steer and coordinate manufacturing and assembly work on different mechanical engineering projects, including commissioning preparation and integration.
• You are responsible for schedule and progress control including shop floor coordination as well as prioritizations and bottleneck management.
• You competently manage processes at the central interfaces between manufacturing, engineering, purchasing/logistics, service/commissioning, and external partners.
• You reliably monitor the performance of subcontractors or suppliers in terms of punctuality and quality.
• You accompany internal and external acceptances as well as reviews and control milestones – up to the systematic documentation (e.g., construction diary, status reports) of project progress, deviations, and adjustment measures.
• Last but not least, you ensure compliance with all work safety and operating instructions during manufacturing and assembly.

Your Profile

• Completed technical education, e.g., as a mechatronics technician, metal technician, or electronics technician, and technician or master’s degree; alternatively, a technical degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable course of study
• Several years of experience in a leading position in mechanical engineering, assembly, or commissioning of complex systems/special machines as well as know-how in coordinating technical teams, including schedule and risk management and ideally in performance management
• Expertise in rail vehicle technology and a very good understanding of technical interrelations (mechanics, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics)
• Secure handling of MS Office, ideally knowledge of ERP or documentation systems
• Organizational skills, assertiveness, and communication talent for interface management or coordination with suppliers, partners, etc.
• Willingness to travel: up to 30% project-related assignments/appointments – nationwide or worldwide, depending on interest and need
