P&C Shared Services Generalist

The P&C Shared Services Generalist is an integral part of our team, serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries. In this role, you will provide high-quality support to employees by addressing and resolving a wide range of HR-related questions and issues, or escalating cases to subject matter experts when necessary. You will also be responsible for the administrative processes related to the complete employee lifecycle which includes talent acquisition, onboarding, data changes, leave(s) of absence, and offboarding. Serve as the first point of contact for all employees' inquiries, including employees, leaders, contingent workers, and others who contact Shared Services, keeping 'exceptional employee experience' top-of-mind. Provide guidance and resolutions for routine HR-related matters, such as benefits, payroll, time off, and system navigation. Escalate complex or specialized cases to appropriate teams or subject matter experts within People & Culture.

  • In collaboration with finance, manage the coordination of Australia & New Zealand payroll administrative activities, including ensuring timely set up, termination and adjustments of employee information within the payroll system.
  • Responsible for administrative talent acquisition processes in and out of the Company's Applicant Tracking System, including position requisition creation; offers of employment and pre-employment contingencies. Support the onboarding and off-boarding of employees.
  • Prepare employment agreements and paperwork throughout the employment lifecycle (dependent on location).
  • Enter and maintain accurate employee data updates in applicable systems, including onboarding, leave(s) of absence, changes and terminations.
  • Monitor, resolve and respond to incoming cases from the shared Compass mailbox as a shared and equal responsibility across the shared services team.
  • Keep track of ongoing activities in our case management system.
  • Maintain employee personnel records in accordance with applicable country regulations
  • Respond timely to requests from authorities and other parties where applicable.
  • Administer and track benefit and incentive programs such as fitness reimbursement, applicable bonuses associated with CBA, spot bonuses, etc., ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Support immigration processes as required.
  • Local activities on an ad hoc basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, customer service, or a related field. Experience with HR systems, case management tools, or ticketing systems is a plus. Knowledgeable in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point). Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Quality control — the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to leadership direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills.
