Lead Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer who will lead the design and implementation of our modern data AI & analytics platforms. You will be working with and be a part of an engineering and DevOps team to deliver highly-scalable, event-driven, serverless solutions in Snowflake, AWS and Azure. While you will not build machine-learning models yourself, you will be responsible for delivering ML-ready and AI read features and real-time data services that power them.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop serverless, event-driven data pipelines (batch & streaming).
• Design and implement robust Snowflake data warehouses and data lake integrations across AWS and Azure.
• Build automated data-feature preparation layers to support AI, ML inference & training workloads.
• Establish and champion modern SDLC practices, including trunk-based development, automated testing, peer review and CI/CD.
• Define and enforce data quality, observability and lineage standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to translate feature requirements into performant data products.
• Mentor engineers through design sessions, code reviews and pair programming (no direct people management).

• 8+ years total software / data engineering experience, 3+ years in a lead or principal IC capacity.

• Proven delivery of production-grade, event-driven, architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Step Functions, EventBridge, etc.).

• Expert-level Snowflake skills (Snowpipe, Snowpark, performance tuning, RBAC).

• Deep hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Kinesis, IAM) and Azure (ADF, Event Hubs, Functions).

• Strong SQL, Python, Node.js and JavaScript experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Data preprocessing and Feature Engineering. AI Deployment and Integration.

• Track record automating data workflows and infrastructure.

• Fluency in modern CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).

Preferred / nice to have

• Streamlit application development and dashboarding experience.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Data governance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC-2).
