Engineering Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of complex electromechanical systems, including advanced 3D printing technology. This hands-on role bridges engineering and manufacturing, requiring a strong background in both mechanical systems and electronics. The ideal candidate will have experience working at both the component and system level, with a passion for solving technical challenges, improving processes, and ensuring product quality.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and analyze complex electromechanical systems, identifying and resolving system faults efficiently.

  • Investigate and drive root cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and communicate solutions to the manufacturing team for continuous process improvement.

  • Partner with Production and Manufacturing Engineering teams to define and optimize test procedures, triage methods, and debugging workflows.

  • Perform component-level diagnostics and minor electronic repairs to support production flow and maintain system reliability.

  • Accurately document system faults, repair actions, and technical findings; maintain records in tracking systems and escalate key issues to the Line Lead/Supervisor.

  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to execute tasks with precision, safety, and quality in mind.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Completion of a 2-year Technical Degree, Trade School program, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics or mechanical systems

  • Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical process documentation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard PC software tools

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, self-directed environment with minimal supervision

  • Skilled in using diagnostic equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and automated test equipment

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and other precision instruments

  • Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks

  • Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
