What are the responsibilities of the Junior BI Salesforce Consultant?
- Define and analyze client needs related to data, reporting, integrations and the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Design, model and document data structures that support business requirements, including conceptual and logical data models.
- Build reports, dashboards and advanced visualizations using Power BI, Tableau or Looker, ensuring performance, clarity and business relevance.
- Manipulate, transform and query data using SQL, ensuring data quality, consistency and reliability.
- Configure Salesforce (objects, fields, rules, automations, flows, permissions) and support the implementation of BI and analytics solutions tightly connected to Salesforce.
- Integrate and automate workflows using Zapier by connecting Salesforce with external or internal systems.
- Collaborate closely with Product, BI, Salesforce and Development teams to ensure a shared understanding of business needs and technical solutions.
- Participate in functional testing, validate solution quality, and document delivered configurations or dashboards.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, provide project follow-up and deliver concise, consistent reporting.
- Act as a solution-oriented consultant by proposing pragmatic approaches, simple architectures and alternatives that meet business goals.
- Rapidly learn new technologies or platforms independently, especially in contexts where VO2 may accept projects on tools the team has little or no experience with.
- Represent VO2 as a reliable and knowledgeable consultant able to explain BI and Salesforce solutions clearly to clients.
Who is our ideal candidate?
- You have 1 to 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, data, or Salesforce-related roles, either in consulting or in an enterprise environment.
- You are proficient in data modeling, SQL, and feel comfortable working with various data sources or data warehouses.
- You are experienced with at least one Data Visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker, and can design effective and insightful dashboards.
- You have a solid understanding of Salesforce basics: objects, relationships, declarative configuration, reports, dashboards, flows and general architecture principles.
- You are familiar with or can quickly learn Zapier to automate workflows and connect systems together.
- You are self-taught, resourceful and able to learn a new technology independently to support a client project, even when VO2 has limited internal knowledge on that tool.
- You are solution-oriented, structured in your thinking and capable of explaining technical concepts to business users.
- You communicate clearly, ask great questions and actively listen during client workshops.
- You can handle multiple requests in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, while working autonomously.
- You have a good understanding of BI best practices, data flows and governance considerations.
- You speak French fluently, with a strong level of English to collaborate with international teams or English-speaking clients.
Preferred technical skills:
SQL, data modeling, simple ETL or ELT workflows
Power BI, Tableau, Looker
Salesforce configuration (objects, flows, declarative tools, dashboards)
Zapier or similar automation tools (Make, n8n)
Basic knowledge of API integrations, an advantage
Notions of Python or Cloud Data platforms, a plus
Familiarity with Agile methodology, Jira, Confluence
