Software Test Automation Engineer

Core Responsibilities & Duties

Work with Product QA and Development teams to design and automate scenarios based on the requirement specifications.
Participate in regular team stand-ups, updates, weekly product platform and agile sessions when required.
Involve in training platform Quality Engineers and junior Test Automation Engineers in Automation Testing.

Qualifications & Experience

B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
1-3 years of industry experience in Software Test Automation.
Solid practical understanding of Agile Software Quality Assurance
Strong understanding of Software Engineering concepts and practical applicability of OOP concepts.
Strong understanding of automation test concepts and how they are applied.
Experience with TestNG/JUnit and Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
Experience in working with Selenium WebDriver.
Strong programming skills in at least one language: Java (preferred), Java Script or C#.
Experience with test frameworks (TestNG/JUnit/Mocha/Jest) and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin).
Experience in Playwright (with JS/TS) would be an added advantage.
Good understanding of manual testing concepts, test case design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests with Jenkins.
Familiar with version control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), and test management tools.
Able to collaboratively work with a team.
Able to communicate technical and analytical content with relevant stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Desire to stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, technologies, and industry best practices related to test automation.
