The Manager I leads, directs and manages internal sales teams to initiate, negotiate and close business energy sales. Champions development of process improvement mechanisms to increase sales and conversion rates, accuracy of booked volumes and ensure the overall integrity and profitability of the channels. These sales must meet or exceed company profit guidelines while adhering to all company and regulatory guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
• Achieve or exceed monthly/annual sales and gains goals.
• Develop and deploy sales and marketing strategies in compliance with operational and regulatory guidelines while meeting company growth goals and profitability objectives.
• Responsible for the on-going search of potential employees as well as developing their compensations plans.
• Works closely with the Products and P&L teams to monitor product mix, margins and customer incentives to ensure the product suite for the channel is both competitive in the marketplace while meeting or exceeding profitability requirements.
• Lead recruiting efforts to grow their sales teams.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in sales management.
• 3+ years of experience in negotiations, sales and delivery of various products – Business-to-Consumer and/or Business-to-Business (BTC and BTB).
• Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills.
• Energy related sales experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or equivalency required.
Key Metrics
• Close Term CM thru Direct Business Sales efforts (both acquisition and renewal).
• Meet Annual and Term MWH’s goals thru the closing of business deals thru their teams efforts (both acquisition and renewal).
• Effectively manage spending for their sales teams.
Candidate will reside in reasonable proximity to Akron, Columbus, or Oak Brook, IL.
