The Android HMI Domain Lead will require technical knowledge of the Android applications, Android Framework, and other HMI components. HMI Domain Lead will be working with android HMI experts and engineers for creating HMI and CoreUX components for Android based infotainment customer programs by ensuring agile development practices and process compliance. This role will provide direction, guidance and expert advice in the areas of Android application development, best practices specific to HMI domains to the HMI domain team. This role will work collaboratively with the Android Delivery leads and HMI Architects to deliver the HMI components related to a specific HMI domain to different projects.
· Working closely with the HMI delivery leads and HMI architects on understanding different project priorities
· Managing the domain team on the day to day activities by running the domain scrum
· Interacting with different other HMI domain leads and HMI architects for solving cross dependencies
· Responsible for the delivery of Android Applications and HMI components within the specific HMI domain scope to different customer projects
· Driving the delivery of CoreUX libraries (Reusable HMI components) within the android application domain scope
· Ensure end to end working of HMI owned components and features
· Review the development activities of individual engineers
· Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
· Request all input which is necessary to fulfil the responsibilities
Adequate planning and execution of HMI applications to different projects
Delivery of CoreUX libraries within the HMI domain.
Quality of the HMI applications and libraries delivered
Reduced number of defects within the HMI domain
Ensuring compliance to organization process practices.

8-12 years of experience on embedded systems, with focus on Android Applications development, android Framework and other HMI skills
Strong Java / Kotlin programming expertise.
Strong technical problem solving skills
Must have worked on applications based on different android framework components (Window manager, Views, Audio, Video, BT, WIFI, Power Module, etc.)
Experience in NDK/C++/Java/Android framework
Exposure to UI design principles and best practices.
Working experience as technical lead on customer deliverable modules or projects
Experience working in automotive environment and HMI applications
Should have experience on Android development and debugging at run-time HW environment
Experience in application performance tuning: Garbage Collector and Heap Analysis, Thread analysis, Memory Leaks, Core Dump, Profiling, Refactoring, GPU analysis.
Hands on experience with SCM tools and services such as Git, Gitlab, gerrit or others
Android build, porting and customization experience
System level debugging
Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science or related Engineering
