Product And Application Manager, Asia

This role is a unique blend of operational and strategic responsibilities. As a Product And Application Manager, Asia you contribute to guaranteeing the success of your product assortment, working together with key stakeholders. This is secured by taking an active role in assisting the Project Leader and sharing ideas to support the product portfolio and alignment with our overall business, sales, and go-to market strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the specification and implementation of projects in line with organizational project management standards, policies, and principles.
  • Leading or participating in the negotiation with external contracts and acts as the senior point of contact for the project.
  • Managing product assortment, performance, and presenting optimizing solutions, i.e., Product Life Cycle Management.
  • Responsible for updating/adding information on product information management IT platforms.
  • Providing technical support and feedback with different project stakeholders.
  • Line support Product and Application managers in various key markets in building up the product strategy through analyzing, evaluating market trends, consumer needs, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities.
  • Support pricing specialists to establish product market positioning.
  • Support in preparing sales forecasts, monitoring sales volume, revenues, and actively engage improving the sales performance.
  • Supporting the product marketing and sales department to drive the business revenue.
  • Collaboration with marketing for advertising and promotions activities.
  • Cooperation in product management within Machining Solutions.
  • Collaboration with universities and external stakeholders.
  • Create an atmosphere of trust, energy, and engagement.
  • Communicate professionally adhering to Dormer Pramet culture and way of working.
  • Support internal corporate initiatives and policies.
  • Ensure that project members understand Dormer Pramet core values, drivers, and strategies.

Travelling might be required in this role (Customers & SMS meetings).

Candidate profile – minimum requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in the metal machining industry, with at least 10 years in sales or applications.
  • Proven expertise in automotive machining applications.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and strategic planning.
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.
