Title of Position: Member Service Representative
Position Type: Full-Time. Regular shifts include Monday to Friday 8:30AM - 5:30PM with rotating Saturday shifts 8:30AM - 12:30PM.
Compensation Range: $18.00/hr. - $22.00/hr. Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills.
Location: Position is on-site at our MetroCenter Branch which is located at 49 Court Street in Binghamton, NY. This position will provide coverage to JC Pavilion Branch, located in Johnson City, NY as needed.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Prioritize member demands while providing impeccable member service by greeting members warmly, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly and courteously.
- Guide members to specialized team members for further assistance or services as needed.
- Complete all assigned educational courses and tests, within required timeframes and passing scores to include product knowledge.
- Identify opportunities and recommend products and services to members, to align with their financial needs and aspirations.
- Conduct cash handling and transaction processing accurately, adhering to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Verify member identification and authorization for transactions to safeguard against fraud and unauthorized access.
- Provide departmental back-up coverage as needed.
- Respond effectively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
- Perform other duties needed to help fulfil our mission, drive our strategy, and support our organization's values.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma with 1-3 years of related experience.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Proficient with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, PCs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- An associate degree preferred.
- Previous customer service or sales experience.
