Software Engineer

The Role
Our team builds the Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure (VHI) —a resilient software suite that enables service providers to manage distributed storage and virtualization layers at scale. As a Software Engineer, you'll add new features, optimize performance, ensure reliability in production, and work across the full stack—from UI and REST APIs to cluster lifecycle, virtualization, monitoring, and seamless product updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features for Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure high code quality.
- Improve and optimize existing functionality for performance and scalability.
- Provide support and maintenance for real customer environments.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Golang, C/C++, or Rust.
- Deep understanding of Linux operating system architecture.
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts.
Preferred Knowledge - is a plus to have
- Experience with hypervisors and container technologies.
- Familiarity with distributed systems design and implementation.
- Background in system programming.
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, or FreeBSD kernel internals.
- Proficiency with automation and infrastructure tools such as Ansible, Bash scripting, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Web development skills (JavaScript, HTML).
