This is not a "schedule posts and wait for instructions" role. We need a proactive, self-driven social media and marketing virtual assistant who owns the content calendar, tracks deliverables, flags gaps before they become problems, and treats Dr. Prabakar's brand growth as their own mission. You will be the primary person responsible for the digital marketing engine across multiple brands and platforms during a major growth phase that includes a book launch, increased podcast appearances, and the scaling of a Skool community.
Social Media Management
• Own the content calendar across Instagram (primary), Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts for both the practice and The Fibroid Doc brand
• Create, schedule, and publish posts, Reels, carousels, and stories including caption writing, hashtag strategy, and engagement optimization
• Repurpose podcast appearances, speaking clips, and patient education content into social-ready formats
• Monitor comments, DMs, and engagement daily; respond or escalate as appropriate
• Track analytics weekly and report on follower growth, engagement rates, and top-performing content with actionable insights
Podcast & Media Support
• Research and pitch podcasts for Dr. Prabakar to appear on as a guest
• Manage the outreach pipeline: track pitches, follow-ups, confirmations, and scheduling
• Prepare episode briefs (host background, audience, talking points) before each appearance
• Clip and repurpose podcast episodes into social content post-appearance
Skool Community Management
• Post regular content and conversation starters in the fibroids Skool community
• Monitor member activity, welcome new members, and keep engagement high
• Flag community feedback, questions, and trends to Dr. Prabakar
• Help plan and promote community events, challenges, and live sessions
Book Launch Support
• Assist with social media promotion strategy for the upcoming book
• Create pre-launch buzz content (teasers, countdowns, behind-the-scenes)
• Coordinate cross-promotion across platforms and with podcast appearances
Brand Building for Associate Physicians
• Support Instagram growth and content creation for associate physicians as the team expands
• Help build individual provider brands to drive patient volume to the practice
Must Haves
• Proactive ownership: You drive the workflow. You tell us when something is due, missing, or could be better—not the other way around
• Reliable communication: Respond to messages within 2 hours during working hours. No exceptions
• Consistent quality: Every post, caption, and deliverable should meet brand standards without requiring micromanagement
• Honest accountability: If you're stuck, behind, or need help—say so immediately. Transparency is non-negotiable
• Dedicated focus: This is an exclusive role. We expect your full 20 hours per week on this account only
• Weekly check-ins: Submit a brief weekly report of work completed, metrics, and upcoming priorities
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing social media for a personal brand, medical practice, or health/wellness business
• Strong portfolio showing content creation (graphics, Reels, carousels) and caption writing
• Proficiency in Canva, CapCut or similar video editing tools, and social scheduling platforms (Later, Planoly, Metricool, etc.)
• Excellent written English—you'll be writing in Dr. Prabakar's voice for a professional, educated U.S. audience
• Familiarity with Instagram growth strategies, hashtag research, and engagement tactics
• Experience with Skool or online community management is a strong plus
• Podcast booking or PR outreach experience is a strong plus
• Comfortable working some US PST hours, but overall flexible job.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote work environment
• Willingness to use time-tracking software
