This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. Responsibilities include performing operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all C4I systems and networks onboard SURTASS Vessels, standing watch in the SURTASS Operations Center, conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on various equipment, and utilizing the WILD trouble ticket application to log all maintenance trouble tickets. The position requires an active Department of Defense Secret level clearance, with Top Secret clearance and SCI access preferred.
Required qualifications include DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, Security+ CE or Cisco Security, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, operating system certifications, Linux/UNIX or equivalent, database management, and the ability to pass a Mariner's Physical and pre-employment drug screening. Candidates must also possess a valid U.S. driver's license and passport.
Desired qualifications include an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or equivalent, three years of practical hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data networks, and demonstrated experience in Radio Frequency (RF) solutions, network security, Quality of Service (QOS), and Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) for current and future shipboard networking systems.
