Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to support the C3BM Data IPT in SSC/BCC. The candidate will work to integrate various software tools, platforms, and data sources across the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission area and will be an integral member of this exciting, growing IPT located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

As a Software Integration Engineer with MTSI, you will provide support to the C3BM Data IPT. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO. Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to:

• Manage the software configuration control processes, and ensure that relevant stakeholder requirements are met.
• Evaluate and make recommendations on adjudication of software deficiency reports.
• Provide expert consultation on quality assurance and software safety practices to a government/industry team.
• Provide software development expertise to anomaly investigations and system development IPTs.
• Advise the development of hardware and software functionality and performance specifications.
• Work with government and industry teams to develop test plans and evaluate results.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years current experience developing software or managing software programs for real-time operating systems. Knowledge of software computer design, development, test, integration, and quality assurance. Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of data interface standards and communication protocols including RS-422, RS-485, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, Internet Protocol Communication, C, C++, Java, Jira, Confluence, Git, and VxWorks. Experience in Multi-Domain/Multi-Level Security architectures. Ceritification Requirements: Relevant software development, integration, or test certifications, preferred. Education Requirements: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Development. MS in the same, or equivalent experience and/or certifications, Desired. Security Clearance Level Required: Active TS/SCI security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility is required for this position. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $130,000/year to $160,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
