Quality Engineer

CACI is seeking a cleared Quality Engineer to support a US Army Product Manager at Ft Belvoir, VA. Help plan, develop, implement, and manage quality on assigned programs over their life cycle, ensuring that contractors meet their responsibilities for product quality in accordance with contract requirements, and that systems fielded to Soldiers are of high quality and meet user requirements. Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop quality input for program management documents.
• Coordinate with product managers, users, ATEC, and other government agencies.
• Review and evaluate system performance, assess risk, and make recommendations.
• Assure compliance with contractual scope, schedules, specifications, and other requirements.
• Help develop or evaluate sampling plans based on industry standards.
• Evaluate design efforts to ensure all appropriate environmental and performance issues have been considered.
• Review and ensure adequacy of all test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Monitor testing to ensure test is being conducted in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ensure effective root cause corrective action for all failures.
• Evaluate engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations for quality impact.
• Assist preparation of contract letters for Quality Lead and COR signature.
• Maintain all quality data and metrics on Quality-Test SharePoint site.
• Assist with audits of contractor quality management systems and system assembly and test procedures.
• Help evaluate contractor quality data, metrics, and process controls.
• Work with contractors to improve their quality system, processes and implementation of process controls.
• Conduct continuing review and evaluation of system performance.
• Assist in preparation of Product Assurance Suitability Statement.
• Ensure product quality deficiency reports are adequately addressed.
• Work with DCMA and monitor support provided on PM programs.

Qualifications:

• Required: Active secret security clearance, BS Engineering or equivalent and >5 years' relevant experience, ISO 9001:2015 Quality System Requirements Familiarity.
• Desired: Experience supporting an Army Project or Product Manager office, knowledge of and experience as Lead Auditor of ISO 9001:2015 Quality System Requirements, subject matter expert for Quality, and ability to lead Quality efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight from the Government lead.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
