Project Engineer

This role involves working with a company that specializes in both new construction and interior renovations, including embassies, multi-family, commercial, and interior fit-outs. The Project Engineer ensures projects are profitable and delivered on time, while building and maintaining good relationships with owners, vendors, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between the owner, design team, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure and confirm trade Scopes of Work (SOWs) are clear and accurate.
  • Accurately forecast project profitability.
  • Coordinate directly with supervisors on manpower needs, SOWs, and sequence of work.
  • Produce project schedules.
  • Administer contract obligations.
  • Ensure subcontractors are paid on time for monies earned.
  • Coach and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

Essential Skills:

  • Project management expertise in construction and renovation.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Programs and Building Connected Pro Software.
  • Experience in handling change orders and requests for information (RFI) in commercial construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office software.

Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
