Pos Installation Technician

Location: D.C. Employment Type: 6 month contract to hire Compensation: Hourly rate. Performance-based conversions; mileage reimbursement at $0.60/mile Schedule: Varies – early mornings, weekends, overnight shifts possible

Top Skills Required:

• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical diagrams
• Experience running a job site independently
• Skilled in operating a man lift
• Strong customer communication skills
• High schedule flexibility
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, A+, BICSI
• Experience with POS systems, AV setups, security cameras, wireless networks, and phone lines

Job Description:

Join a fast-growing team at a company that specializes in technology installations for major retail brands like McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, Target, Costco, Louis Vuitton, and more. As a POS Installation Technician, you'll be on the front lines of new store builds and upgrades, installing and configuring systems including:

• Point-of-Sale (POS)
• Audio/Visual
• Security Cameras
• Wireless Access Points
• Phone Lines

You'll start by shadowing an experienced technician to learn the ropes before transitioning to independent work. You'll be the boots-on-the-ground contact for customers, ensuring installations meet expectations and blueprints are followed precisely.

Additional Information:

• Work environments include new and existing construction sites (fast food, big box stores)
• Teams typically consist of 2–4 technicians
• Schedules are provided weeks in advance via an Android-only app (Android device provided if needed)
• No on-call requirements
• Mileage reimbursement for travel to/from job sites

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
