National Service Engineer

We are seeking individuals who have worked in an industrial/service/sales environment to fill the position of National Service Engineer for our Fredericksburg location.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Evaluate new items/parts or our products for feasibility in respect to use, handling, servicing, maintaining, function and practicality.
  • Assist Technical Service Support and Product Management departments in finding alternatives and solutions to problems.
  • Assist in inspecting and evaluating defective items returned under warranty.
  • Instruct and support the Training Department for Kaeser service and maintenance schools.
  • Assist with performing compressor performance test in the field and in-house.
  • Provide technical assistance to Branches, Distributors and customers as required.
  • Provide telephone and email troubleshooting support to the Technical Service Support department.
  • Extensive travel to the jobsite – 30% or more.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate's background will include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on and practical experience in the air compression industry or a minimum of 3 years' industrial equipment mechanical aptitude.
  • Extensive experience reading mechanical blueprints and electric diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Good communication skills/phone skills required.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Regular physical attendance at the worksite.
