This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent serves as a journey-level HR Specialist responsible for providing staff-level technical advisory service and the development of policy interpretation/guidance in the assigned HR functional areas within Compensation and Recruitment and Placement.

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Interpreting HR policy including statutory and regulatory guidance. Advising customers on HR programs to include: compensation, recruitment, or staffing. Preparing and presenting internal and external briefings and presentations.
Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
