There are numerous local historic sites that have played a unique role in American history which include: Monticello, the University of Virginia, Ash Lawn-Highland, Historic Court Square and Michie Tavern. Our Blue Ridge Parkway offers unmatched views and our very own downtown mall features daily entertainment at the four theaters which offer live music, movies and theatrical performances.

Omni Charlottesville Hotel is seeking a Food Runner/Room Service Server to join The Conservatory team at our brand-new upscale restaurant. Responsibilities include bringing food from the kitchen to tables to support the servers, assisting servers during meal periods, having knowledge of all menu items, greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner, providing water service to our guests, assisting the server with pre busing of plates, assisting servers in any capacity to ensure guest satisfaction, performing any additional duties assigned by supervisor or management, providing unique, authentic and memorable experiences for all dining guests, knowledge of the menu offered and ability to explain the items on the menu, answering phone within 3 rings, following phone etiquette and input orders into Micros, completing paperwork, ensuring tickets are correct and closed out properly and drop cash after each scheduled shift, delivering food based on steps of service, being pleasant, smiling and greeting all guests, using surnames when obtained, being thoroughly familiar with responsibilities of IRD server, being thoroughly familiar with F&B menus and available promotions and options, station set-up and break-down, walk guest floors for trays in hallways and side-work, performing any other duties as assigned by Outlets Management, having knowledge of fine dining service, following all company policies and procedures; ensuring clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information; protecting company assets, assisting where needed within F&B.

Qualifications include enjoying guest interaction, being able to work in a fast-paced environment, being able to multitask, being able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift, being able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance, being able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and having ServSafe Food Handlers and TIPS Alcohol Certification or be able to attain certification.
