We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Virginia Beach Global Sustainment Team as an Engineering Planner. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to various contracts and programs, as well as assist the Field Repair Facility with depot-level operations. The work environment will be the Lockheed Martin Virginia Beach facility. Minimal travel is expected, primarily within the local Hampton Roads, VA area. Ability to travel on an as-needed basis to provide support onboard ships or other land-based facilities may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative, data entry, and technical tasks as directed by functional management and supervisory project engineering staff
- Assist in planning and executing technical and programmatic interactions with customers
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation to government customers
- Manage databases of deliverables and configuration
- Enhance and support project engineering tools
- Provide daily coordination and functional management
- Working in a warehouse environment
- Unpacking and packing materials
- Shipping and tracking materials

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, with a strong understanding of logistics principles and practices.
- Experience in SAP, or similar software
- Familiarity with U.S. Naval shipboard systems and reporting processes.
- Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
- Experience coordinating meetings, recording minutes and action items.
- Set up virtual meetings utilizing Video/Teleconferencing.
- Experience with technical document editing utilizing MS Office tool suites.
- Technical engineering degree and/or military background with shipboard combat systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with Team leads, Program representatives, and Customer representatives.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with customers.

- Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
- Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
