Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring excellent customer experiences through effective communication and coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Process orders, quotes, and credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate logistics for shipments and handle return processes as needed.
  • Maintain and update customer records to ensure accurate and accessible information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and fulfill customer needs.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives by providing relevant customer insights.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls to assist with customer requests and follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all customer interactions.
  • Provide general administrative support to the customer service department as required.
  • Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a customer service or call center role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
    • Strong skills in order entry, shipping coordination, and logistics management.
    • Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls in a courteous and attentive manner.
    • Proficiency in processing credit applications and handling returns.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
    • Experience with CRM or SAP is a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
