Controls Engineer

Join an exciting project at a Data Center focused on designing and commissioning control panels. You will initially engage in onsite commissioning at a local data center, reviewing panel designs, and performing I/O loop checks and testing of control systems. In the long term, your role will expand to include design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of PLC and/or DCS-based control systems across various markets, including Data Centers, Power and Energy, and Life Sciences.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite commissioning at a local data center.
  • Review and assess panel designs.
  • Perform I/O loop checks and test control systems.
  • Design, configure, test, and commission PLC and/or DCS-based control systems.
  • Work across multiple markets, including Data Centers, Power and Energy, and Life Sciences.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of automation experience, preferably with PLC-based systems such as Rockwell or Siemens S7.
  • Experience in configuring and testing HMIs, with a preference for FTView or Ignition.
  • Proficiency in control panel design.
  • Experience in performing loop checks and commissioning of PLC-based systems.
  • Capability to configure and troubleshoot automation networks and control panel designs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively with end clients.
  • Experience in controls and wiring.
  • A degree in a technical field related to Engineering or Systems.

Work Environment:

The position is primarily onsite at a Data Center, with opportunities to work from home when not onsite and while the new office is under construction.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $135000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
