Bilingual Family Resource and Support Specialist-completes screening and initial assessment interview on families referred to the program; assist with and provides presentations to referring agencies within the community and conducts community outreach; provides home visiting support services to pregnant and parenting families with children ages 0-5 living in Martinsville, Franklin County and Henry County using the Healthy Families America (HFA) model. The position will build and maintain relationships with community partners and families enrolled in home visiting services, support healthy childhood growth and development, enhance family functioning, ensure receipt of appropriate medical care, provide community resource connections based on individual family needs, develop family service plans, and maintain case files and records. Minimum of high school diploma/GED required with bachelor's degree in a field related to working with children and/or families preferred. Infant mental health endorsement preferred. Spanish speaking preferred. Prefer experience providing services to children (0-5) and families; working with culturally diverse families; developing family service plans; documenting observations. Prefer knowledge of maternal health, early childhood development and health; trauma informed practice; and local community resources and service delivery systems; ability to engage in building reflective capacity; effective oral and written communication skills; enter information into a computer system with proficiency, work independently with little supervision while exercising good judgment; perform home visits; interact effectively with others; and manage time effectively. Position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate evening visits. Must have valid driver's license and good driving record. Pay depending on education and experience as it related to the job.
