Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Audiovisual Engineer for our team in the Washington DC Metro region to design, configure, and operate advanced AV systems for U.S. Government customers.

Position Responsibilities

+ Survey, plan, develop, design, configure, and test multi-classification AV solutions for government customers. Generate custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and systems configuration. + Support or attend customer stakeholder meetings to collect and document or validate system requirements. Research, identify, and recommend technology options to solve customer problems. + Draft system engineering documentation, including signal flows, line diagrams, bills of materials, rack elevations, and cable plants. + Support onsite installation of AV systems and lead system configuration phases. Coordinate with customer facility teams and other onsite sub-contractors and vendors during system installation as required. + Support the development of end-user training materials and operations and maintenance plans. + Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations. + Develop and maintain expertise in the industry through continuing training, certifications, and review of trade publications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

+ Years of related work experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3, 5+ for level 4. + Experience in setup and support of large-scale audiovisual systems. + Experience coordinating or leading schedule driven tasks. + Experience directly interfacing with customers. + Willingness and ability to acquire a Counterintelligence Polygraph ( CIP ) post start.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

+ Associate degree or higher. + AVIX certification. + DSP platform ( Biamp, QSC,...) experience. + Experience with Crestron, Extron, or Thinklogical systems. + Experience with AutoCAD and Visio . + Adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph.

Typical Education & Experience

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.). Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.). Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: Level 2: $95,050 to $129,950 Level 3: $118,150 to $159,850 Level 4: $141,950 to $192,050

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. ยง120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
